How INONI helped our client gain the ISO 22301 Business Continuity accreditation.

Our client provides technology, Call Centre and other outsourced services to a large metropolitan City Council and many other public and private sector organizations, including highly visible and sensitive Government authorized services.  Many demand high levels of security and integrity, often dealing with highly personal, sensitive and time-critical information.  Recognizing this, in 2007, our client decided to embark on a business continuity management (BCM) programme to ensure its services could never suffer unacceptable disruption from any cause.  In addition to everyday risks, the scenarios covered include the real and potentially catastrophic impacts arising from ‘standard’ insurable hazards such as fire and flood, and also from less obvious 21st century threats such as information loss or corruption, critical utility failure and terrorism.

Increasingly, our Benchmarking software is being used as a tool by consulting firms both as a precursor to client engagements and also as part of a valued deliverable. It offers them an independent and detailed gap analysis, positioning their clients against peer groups and indicating overall levels of attainment.

Our client sponsor is CISO (Chief Information Security Officer) for a well-known specialist insurance and financial services provider.  His role covers all aspects of business and technology security, resilience and continuity.  The organisation has been in existence for over 100 years and now provides award-winning ethical services to a range of different client groups, including insurance brokers, independent financial advisers, organisations and individuals.  Annual turnover is in excess of £0.5 Billion with operations in Europe, the Americas and Asia-Pacific region.  In this study we respect our sponsor’s request not to disclose the Company’s identity.

How INONI provided business continuity services to help a large Housing Services provider establish BCM across a widely distributed group.

Our client is a leading housing group comprising 12 partner organisations with more than 2000 staff.  The group manages some 65,000 homes and provides services for around 300,000 people across the UK. It provides general needs, sheltered and supported housing, as well as a range of responsive care, support and maintenance services.

In this case study, our client was one of the UK’s largest banking groups and mortgage and savings providers.

It has assets worth over £540 Billion and has 22 Million Customers world‐wide. The group Business Continuity division is responsible for protecting the organisation’s assets and stakeholder interests against events which could threaten the continuation of operations and the business as a whole. Group Business Continuity manages business units across all of our client’s divisions and in all locations providing Impact analyses, continuity planning, testing and exercising amongst other services.
